The Dalhousie University Tigers men’s cross country team looks to make it four straight AUS titles in Saturday’s AUS Championship hosted by Saint Mary’s University at Point Pleasant Park on Saturday at 1pm.
The Tigers men’s cross country team kicked off their season with a second-place finish at the Acadia Invitational on September 13. They finished well behind a strong StFX squad that grabbed eight of the top 10 spots. Matthias Mueller and Jake Wing cracked the top ten for the Tigers in their first races of the season, finishing ninth and 10th, respectively.
St. Francis Xavier's Scott Donald finished first in the men's 10km race with a time of 32:24.80. Donald was followed closely by Dalhousie's, Matt McNeil (32:33.89
Former Tigers cross country star Richard Munro and multisport athlete Dr. Cathy Campbell have been selected to the 2014 Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame Induction class.
The Tigers cross country teams are getting ready this week for the 2013 Subway AUS Championships, which are being hosted by the University of Moncton on October 26.
