The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Memorial Sea-Hawks 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-18) Saturday afternoon at Sexton Memorial Gymnasium.

It was a rematch of Friday night's battle at Dalplex, where the Tigers won 3-0.

Grace Calnan (Dartmouth, NS) scored the first kill of the match off the spike set up by Kirsty Longino (Calgary, AB). The reigning AUS MVP, Lucy Glen-Carter (Toronto, ON), scored the following kill to start the Tigers off 2-0.

Courtney Hodder (Main Point, NL) got Memorial on the board with an off-speed kill.

Dal started the set 7-3, building off the momentum from Friday night's 3-0 victory.

The Tigers continued to build a lead with back-to-back kills from Calnan.

Talia Vydykhan (Hammonds Plains, NS) scored an ace to give the Tigers a 15-5 lead. Despite Memorial's efforts, with five kills from Maria Moores (Conception Bay South, NL), the Tigers would take the first set 25-18.

The Tigers began the second set with an ace from Vydykhan. Memorial scored next, as Vydykhan sprawled out to keep the ball in play but couldn't as Hodder scored the kill.

Memorial carried their momentum from the end of the first set into the second. The Sea-Hawks grabbed an early 6-4 lead.

The Tigers clawed back and would gain a 9-7 lead before Memorial called a timeout.

Taking a 15-11 lead, the Tigers scored three straight points with kills from Glen-Carter and Calnan.

The Sea-Hawks continued to stick around after an ace and a kill from Karen Greek (Mount Pearl, NL), making it 15-13.

With kills from Glen-Carter and Ella Hornby (Calgary, AB) and a Hornby ace, the Tigers went up 23-16. Vydykhan scored the final kill of the set, winning it 25-17. The Tigers gained a 2-0 lead in the match.

Calnan scored her ninth kill of the match to begin the third set. Calnan was 20th in the conference in total kills heading into today's match.

The Sea-Hawks scored its first point from a kill from Hodder. It was Hodder's fourth kill of the night.

Gaining a 7-3 lead in the set, the Sea-Hawks found a comfortable lead, forcing the Tigers to make errors.

After a kill from Glen-Carter and a service ace from Kasandra Trenke, the Tigers came back in the set to take a 9-7 lead. The score was knotted 15-15. Powerful spikes from Glen-Carter and errors from Memorial helped lift the Tigers to an 18-15 lead.

A smart off-speed kill by Amelia Hartnett (Fredericton, NB) propelled the Tigers to a 19-15 lead. The Tigers continued to find Glen-Carter, who scored her 14th kill of the match to make it 20-16.

Rolling towards the end of the set, the Tigers four straight kills to lead 24-17. The Sea-Hawks would hang on with a service ace from Sarah Trowbridge (Sunnyside, NL). It would not be enough as Vydykhan scored her seventh kill of the afternoon to secure the third set and the match victory, winning the final set 25-18.

Moores and Hodder scored seven kills, tying the team-high.

Glen-Carter scored a game-high 14 kills in the victory.
