HALIFAX, NS – The Tigers women's volleyball team earned another straight-set win in their match against Memorial, wrapping up an undefeated weekend at home.

The Tigers came out strong in the first set, taking an early lead and were largely uncontested by the Sea-Hawks. Courtney Baker (Bridgewater, NS) led the team with two kills, an ace, ten assists, and four digs that were part and parcel to Dalhousie's convincing 25-15 take of the first set.

The second set began with a seven straight Tigers' point streak that was ended only by a service error from Victoria Turcot (Halifax, NS) who collected two aces on the run. The Tigers momentum slowed in the last half of the set as the Sea-Hawks slowly chipped away at their lead. Back-to-back blocks had Memorial behind by only three points after the technical timeout, at 17-14. Dalhousie answered their challenge with a four-point run and swiftly ended the set 25-17.

Once again, the Tigers came out swinging at the start of the third set. Sarah Dawe (Mount Pearl, NL) served back-to-back aces, giving Dalhousie an early 8-1 lead. Memorial quickly fell behind as the Tigers went on run after run, eventually finishing the set 25-10, and taking the match 3-0.

Victoria Haworth (Waverly, NS) earned Subway Player of the Game status for Dalhousie with an impressive match-high 10 kills and three aces. Hailey Oke (Mossey Drive, NL) had a strong showing for Memorial with five kills and was named their player of the game.

The Tigers remain undefeated (15-0) while Memorial continues to struggle with their 0-14 record this season.

Both teams will play away on Friday, January 31: Dalhousie at Moncton and Memorial at Acadia.
