(St. John's, NL) – The Dalhousie Tigers once again proved to be too strong for the Memorial Sea-Hawks in AUS women's volleyball action on Saturday night. Dalhousie swept Memorial 3-0 on Think Pink Night.

Julie Moore got the Tigers started with a kill on the opening point. Memorial responded with a kill of their own by Claire Whiffen, but the Tigers then scored four straight points to take a 5-1 lead and early control of the set. Dalhousie would go on to win the opening set by a score of 25-16.

The second set was similar to the first, with Dalhousie once again taking an early 6-2 lead. Memorial responded much better and cut the Tigers lead to 7-5, but the Tigers pushed back and would take a 16-8 lead into the technical timeout. Dalhousie would go on to win the set 25-16.

Memorial put together a solid effort in the 3rd set. The teams traded points early, with the Sea-Hawks taking a 15-13 lead. Dalhousie used their experience to regroup and were able to take a 16-15 advantage into the technical timeout. The Tigers would complete the sweep with a 25-18 3rd set score.

Courtney Baker was the Subway Player of the Game, finishing with 17 assists, 4 kills, and 6 digs. Julie Moore was once again the kill leader with 11.
