The Huskies held a narrow 4-3 lead early in the first set before they opened things with an 8-2 run to give themselves a 12-5 lead. The Tigers would continue to battle, but the Huskies would hold onto their lead as they won the first set 25-13.

The Huskies were back at it in the second set as they held a 18-12 lead and looked poised to take the second set. The Tigers rallied back to tied the game at 19 and the teams battled their way to a tie at 23, setting the stage for a thriller of a finish for the second set. Mieke Dumont and Josenhans came up big with a block on Shelby Michaels to make the game 24-23, and Anna Dunn-Suen followed it up with a thundering ace to give the Tigers the 25-23 victory.

It was tied at 20 in the third set but the Huskies went on 5-1 tear and Shelby Michaels' kill sealed the deal for the Huskies as they went up 2-1 and looked to finish things off in the fourth set.

Tied at 19 in the fourth set, Rachel Windford had a blistering kill to give the Huskies a lead as they rattled off four straight points. With the game at 24-20, the Tigers hit the ball just wide as they lost 3-1.
