Coach Scott's Recap

The Dal Tigers women's volleyball team opened up their regular season with a solid 3-0 road victory over the Acadia Axewomen in Wolfville Friday night. The was a large crowd on hand to witness Acadia's home opener and their was an impressive music and light show introduction to kick start the season.

Dal was paced by Subway Player of the Game Desiree Nouwen who recorded 13 kills, 2 aces and 13 digs. Marlee Powers added 10 kills and 2 aces and Maggie Li had 9 kills, 2 stuff blocks and 2 aces. Marisa Mota was solid in the back court recording 9 digs and Brett Hastings quarterbacked the offense dishing up 28 assists and 2 kills. The Tigers host St. Mary's Nov. 6 at 7pm at the Dalplex in their home opener and rematch of last year's AUS Final.
