A CSA National Youth License and B level coach, Talal has coached at various levels in both Nova Scotia and Alberta and is returning for his second year as an assistant coach with the Tigers. 

A graduate of Dalhousie University, Talal played for the Tigers from 2005-10 while completing a Bachelor of Engineering and winning an AUS title in 2009.  

Talal has coached several youth programs to Provincial titles and contributed to the development and coaching of several players into the professional ranks, most notably Alphonso Davies. Talal held the roles of Technical Staff Coach and Director at BTB Soccer Academy, and as a Technical Coach for The King’s University, both in Edmonton, AB. 
 
Talal spent over 11 years as an Engineer in the oil and gas industry before making a career change into the sports management field that allowed him to move back to Nova Scotia with his wife Mandi and their two sons, Waleed and Kareem.
