Being a successful student comes first...
Our players are succeeding in classroom as well as on the pitch. 25% of our men's soccer student-athletes typically achieve U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian status each year.
Maintaining the balance between academics and athletics is a key component to success as a varsity student-athlete. The Black & Gold Academic Support Program provides Dalhousie student-athletes with resources to assist them in achieving their academic goals. This is a mandatory program for first year student-athletes and optional for all others. The program includes study skill seminars, study halls, sponsored tutoring, and academic support.

AUS & U SPORTS - it's where you play...
As a member of the men's soccer team, you'll compete in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS), conference with 10 teams from four provinces and nationally via U SPORTS with 48 teams.
Athletes get involved...
Dalhousie also has a varsity council as a way for student-athletes to get involved and represent their teams. The council is comprised of two representatives from each varsity team and meets monthly to discuss athletes’ issues, upcoming events, and plan fundraising activities. In the past the varsity council has assisted initiatives such as Special Tigers Day events, the Feed Nova Scotia Food Drive, Operation Christmas Child, and Sport Nova Scotia’s KidSport.
Newcomers welcome...
Full-time Dalhousie students are welcomed to attend open tryouts or prospective Dalhousie student-athletes are encouraged to fill out a prospective recruit form or contact the coach to find out what it takes to become a Tiger!
