Goalkeeper Sinclair Astridge has signed a U SPORTS development contract with the Halifax Wanderers.
Tigers goalkeeper Sinclair Astridge has signed a U SPORTS development contract with Halifax Wanderers FC.
Hailing from Victoria, British Columbia, Astridge started 11 of the Tiger regular season games this year, conceding only 12 goals on the way to being named an AUS first team all-star. The second year science student was an Academic All-Canadian in his first year and is on the way to repeating this year.
Astridge will train with the Wanderers this spring and summer before returning to the pitch for the Tigers in August. This is the second men’s soccer player to earn a U SPORTS development contract with the Wanderers. Aiden Rushenas, also a goalkeeper, previously earned a development contract before signing a professional contract with the team in fall of 2023.
The Tigers men’s soccer team finished the 2024 campaign with a 6-4-3 record.
