Capers beat Tigers 4-1 on home turf

Sydney, NS - The undefeated CBU CAPERS battled the elements all afternoon with some strong wind affecting the game. The CAPERS used the wind to their advantage and got 2 first-half goals from rookie Charlie Waters (Lancashire, UK). Waters controlled a cross from Euan Bald (East Lothian, UK) in the 24' and buried his shot. Waters tapped in a goalmouth scramble in the 40' and the CAPERS went into the locker room up 2-0. Water would add a penalty in the 57'. Jack Simpson (Redding, UK) added an insurance goal in the 75'. Dalhousie's Jacob Bolton added a late goal for the Tigers. Ben Jackson (Bury, UK) earned the victory for the CAPERS stopping two of three shots.
Turning point – Charlie Waters scored his third goal of the game early in the second half to put the game out of reach for the Tigers. The CAPERS used the wind to their advantage in the 1st half and then used the wind defensively during the second half.
