Lowther wins Moncton Cross Country Classic
Lauren Lowther ran to a first-place finish at the 2022 Universite de Moncton Cross Country Classic Saturday afternoon in New Brunswick

Lauren Lowther of the Dalhousie University Tigers and Andrew Peverill of the Saint Mary's University Huskies were the first to cross the finish line at the Université de Moncton cross country classic held Saturday noon on the field adjacent to the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on the Moncton campus.
Lauren Lowther completed the 8km run in 32:06.80, 13 seconds ahead of Breanna Sandluck and 17 ahead of Taylor Rasmussen, both from St. Francis Xavier University X-Women who finished the top 3 in the women's category.
In the final team standings, the X-Women finished first followed by the Dalhousie Tigers, Acadia Axewomen, UPEI Panthers, Memorial Sea-Hawks and Moncton Aigles Bleues.
On the men's side, Andrew Peverill crossed the line in 26:17.20, 23 seconds ahead of Levi Moulton of the Memorial University Sea-Hawks and Liam Patterson of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men took third place in 27:36.30.
In the team standings, the X-Men finished first followed by the Dalhousie Tigers, Memorial Sea-Hawks, Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues and University of Prince Edward Island Panthers.
