2024 BMO U SPORTS Women's Soccer Championship
The 2024 national women’s soccer tournament returns to Dalhousie University for the second time in U SPORTS history - the first was in 1996. The Tigers boast extensive championship experience, having previously hosted 18 national events, most recently the 2022 cross country championships.
“We are pleased to have been awarded the 2024 edition of the championship, which will fall on the 30th anniversary of our 1994 national gold medal win,” said Tim Maloney, executive director of athletics and recreation at Dalhousie University. “We see this event as an opportunity to celebrate women’s sport, engage our community and provide participating student-athletes with an outstanding experience.”
The event will be held at the recently resurfaced F.B. Wickwire Memorial Field, which has a capacity of 1500. The venue is home to Dalhousie Tigers varsity programs and local amateur sport associations.

Parking
Due to the construction of our new arena, parking at Wickwire field is extremely limited, especially on weekdays.
Team buses can drop teams off on LeMarchant St. outside Dalhousie Security and then park in the lot at the corner of Oxford and Coburg streets.
There is no access to Alumni Cres for buses currently. Buses are not allowed to lay up or drop off in the Dalplex lot.
Hotspot parking is available for cars in both the Dalplex parking lot (across the street from Wickwire field) and in the lot at the west end of Wickwire field, however spots will be very limited on weekdays.
Individuals travelling to the games are strongly encouraged to walk, take public transportation or a cab service to games.
BMO Girls Play Dal!
Join the Tigers for a free, one-day soccer event for young women and girls, presented by BMO!This event is in conjunction with the 2024 U SPORTS Women's Soccer Championship hosted by Dalhousie
FUNdamentals Coaching Course - ages 15-18
Interested in being a soccer coach? You can get certified for free through BMO Girls Play Dal! Morning workshops will be offered to girls aged 15-18. By the afternoon, participants will put their new coaching skills to use in a 3v3 style tournament.
Youth Festival - ages 6-9
During the afternoon session, girls aged 6-9 will split into small teams for a 3v3 FunFest. Each group will be assigned a newly trained coach for the afternoon.
All participants will receive a t-shirt and BMO swag and will be invited to stay to watch the consolation final on Wickwire field at 4pm.
