Tigers add Zykova for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Alyssa Zykova for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Hammonds Plain, Nova Scotia, Zykova is the captain of her team at Suburban Football Club. The 5'7 right wing back is a provincial cup champion and represented Nova Scotia at 2024 Toyota National Championship where they placed fourth. Zykova was also a member of the Soccer Nova Scotia provincial team attending the U16 Atlantic Championship.
"I'm beyond excited to represent Dalhousie and proudly call myself a Tiger," says Zykova. "For me, soccer is more than just a sport, it is about building connections. I'm confident Dalhousie is where I'm meant to be."
Zykova will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie University.
"A defender, known for their exceptional athleticism, leadership, and strong work ethic, Alyssa has proven to be not only a valuable player on the field but also a dedicated and high-achieving student," says Tye. "We look forward to welcoming her to the program!"
The women's soccer team ended their 2024-25 season with a 5-4-3 record and are excited for their upcoming season in the fall!
