Tigers add Toth for 2022-2023 season

Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Emily Toth for the 2022-23 season.

A goalkeeper, Toth played with Markham Football Club in 2019 in the Ontario Player Development League, helping them to the league and league cup titles that year.

This past summer, she took her talents to Alliance United Soccer Club to play on their League1 Ontario team, who were knocked out in the league semifinals in 2021.

Toth will be studying commerce at Dalhousie.

“I am beyond excited to be a part of the Dalhousie Tigers family,” says Toth. “I am ready to work hard and create long-lasting relationships with everyone on the team. I can’t wait for the next stage of my life at Dal!”

“The starting goalkeeper on a top team from Markham FC, Emily will help to solidify our goalkeeping core,” says Tye. “A solid shot stopper with good size and athleticism, she is also comfortable using her feet to start the attack. Described by her previous coaches as competitive and hardworking she will certainly grow inside our program. A solid student, we look forward to working with Emily!”
