Pfeiffer-Faulk commits to Tigers for 2021-22 season

Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Destiny Pfeiffer-Faulk for the 2021-22 season.

A native of Kitchener, Ont., Pfeiffer-Faulk is a four-year member of the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) program with the Burlington Bayhawks.

A multi-year honour roll student, Pfeiffer-Faulk has received awards for outstanding excellence in math, science, physical education and exploring technologies. She was also named the winner of the St. Mary’s High School Academic All-Star award for the 2018-19 school year.

“I am extremely excited to continue my soccer career at the university level,” says Pfeiffer-Faulk. “I could not be happier with the education I will be receiving at Dalhousie.”

While attending Dalhousie, Pfeiffer-Faulk hopes to pursue a degree in nursing.

“A leader on her OPDL team, Destiny has excelled in both track and soccer,” says Tye. “She is a centre back with a great physical presence that will be an additional threat on set pieces and add strength to defending in our box. Her athleticism combined with her technical and tactical ability will be an exciting addition to our defending core. In the classroom, she is a top student and we are excited to welcome Destiny to the Tigers!”

The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with hopes to resume in the fall of 2021.
