Tigers add Rothenburg for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Evie Rothenburg for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Halifax, NS, Rothenburg is an assistant captain for the Greenfoot Capitals U18 AAA team. Over her 86 games in the Maritime Major Female Hockey League (MMFHL), she has 30 goals and 17 assists. Rothenberg helped Team Nova Scotia bring home a gold medal at the 2022 U16 Atlantic Challenge Cup, scoring four goals in the six games. In 2024, Rothenburg won the Hockey Nova Scotia Bill Riley Award as a player of African heritage who shows dedication to hockey.
“I am looking forward to joining an exciting competitive team and doing everything I can to help the Tigers in the future,” says Rothenburg. “Being from Halifax, I know Dalhousie is a great school and have watched the women’s hockey team play numerous times over the years.”
Rothenburg will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie University.
“Evie is a skilled, forward that brings a physical presence to our lineup,” says House. “She has shown the ability to provide offence but has also grown into a steady two-way player over the past couple of years. Her combination of size, athleticism, compete and skill will be a welcome addition to our group in the fall.”
The Tigers currently hold a 13-11 record with four games left to go in the AUS regular season.
