Tigers add Gardiner for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Emily Gardiner to the women’s hockey team for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Savage Harbour, PEI, Gardiner plays for Down East Auto Part Stars in the Maritime Major Female Hockey League. This current season Gardiner leads her team in scoring with 26 goals and 25 assists through 28 games. Gardiner and her team have won two Hockey PEI provincial championships and one Atlantic silver medal. Gardiner was also a member of Team PEI in the 2023 Canada Games where she scored three goals and had one assist. Gardiner received League MVP U15 AAA Hockey PEI in 2021-22 and top scorer at U18 Atlantic Championship in 2024
“I am excited to start this new chapter of my life, I am looking forward to playing hockey in such a supportive and competitive environment,” says Gardiner. “I chose Dal because while still being relatively close to home, it gives me a chance to become independent and grow as a person on and off the ice.”
An honour roll student, Gardiner will be studying science at Dalhousie University.
“Her offensive totals are impressive but her ability to be a threat with and without the puck is going to serve her well at the next level,” says head coach Keifer House. “She comes by her hockey prowess naturally as her mother played U SPORTS hockey as well.”
The Tigers currently hold a 13-11 record with four games left to go in the AUS regular season.
