Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Madison Wardle for the 2024-25 season.
A forward, Wardle played for the Gloucester-Cumberland East Ottawa Jr Stars U22AA team in the Ontario Women’s Hockey League for the last two seasons. Over the 79 regular season games with the Jr Lady Grads, the Rockland, Ontario native scored 13 goals and added 25 assists.
The class valedictorian at St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School, Wardle was a multi-year member of the honour roll and warned the Principal’s Award.
“I am very excited about coming to Dalhousie and honoured to be playing for the Tigers women’s hockey team starting this fall,” says Wardle. “It is a place where I believe I can Schieve my utmost potential academically, athletically, and personally. I look forward to joining a hardworking and dedicated team led by coach House.”
Wardle will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie.
“Madison is a mature, reliable two-way forward who takes pride in playing a 200-foot game,” says House. “She is strong on faceoffs, can play in a variety of situations and has good details for the game. Madison has been a captain for the past three years and we look forward to the positive influence her leadership will bring to the Tigers.”
The Tigers open their 2024-25 season at home on October 4 when they host the UNB REDS.
