Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Mollie Power for the 2024-25 season.
Hailing from Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador, Power is joining fellow Mount Academy teammate Abby Larkin at Dalhousie.
In the 2022-23 season, Power was named the Mount Academy’s team MVP and the Maritime Female Prep League’s most outstanding forward. Power also earned a spot in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 Junior Women’s Hockey League’s all-star game. In her 21 games with the Mount Academy the forward scored a team high eight goals and added 10 assists, leading her team to a Maritime Female Prep League title.
Power has represented her province at the Canada Winter Games in 2023 and was a member of Team Atlantic at the 2023 Hockey Canada Women’s National U18 Championship in Dawson’s Creek.

A two-year member of the Headmaster’s List at the Mount Academy, Power will be studying commerce at Dalhousie.
“Mollie is a skilled forward who has experience representing her province on the national stage,” says House. “Mollie uses her speed and skill to be impactful in the offensive game. She is able to use her vision and skill to create plays for both her teammates and herself. Mollie has a ton of upside and we are excited to welcome her to the Tiger’s family.”
The Tigers host the UNB REDS on October 4 in their 2024-25 season opener.
