Pilkington commits to Tigers for 2024-25

Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Elaina Pilkington for the 2024-25 season.

A member of the blueline for the Toronto Leaside Jr Wildcats of the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association U22 Elite League, Pilkington has played all 43 regular season games for the Wildcats this year. The Mississauga, Ontario native has scored five goals and seven assists this season.

Previously Pilkington played for the Brampton Jr Canadettes in the U22 Elite League.

Pilkington was named the Clarkson Secondary School’s Sr. Female Athlete of the Year in 2022-23 and the Jr Female Athlete of the Year in 2021-22.

“I am extremely excited to attend Dalhousie in the fall and play for the Tigers,” says Pilkington. “I look forward to experiencing the East coast and playing for such a great program for the next four years!”

Pilkington will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie.

“We are excited to have Elaina onboard,” says House. “She uses her length well and plays with great composure. Her skating and awareness will be assets she relies on to have an impactful career at Dalhousie.”

This fall the Tigers look to improve on their AUS playoffs first round exit last year.
