Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Jill Imeson for the 2024-25 season.
Hailing from Perth, Ontario, Imeson plays for the Ottawa Lady 67s in the Ontario Women’s Hockey League. This past season the forward led the team in points with nine goals and 17 assists through 40 regular season games.
“I’m excited to meet everyone and get started as a Tiger,” says Imeson. “I chose Dal because of all the great things I’ve heard about the athletics community as well as the support for students.”
The St. John Catholic High School graduate was a member of the honour roll for all four years of high school. Imeson held the third highest standing in the 2020-21 school year and the second highest in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. Imeson will be studying medical sciences at Dalhousie.
“Jill has a reputation for being a well-rounded, coachable player who is a great teammate,” says House. “Her offensive skills are only getting better, and she has the potential to be a game-changer in the offensive zone. Jill can also contribute on the defensive side of the puck with strong defensive zone play and can contribute on the penalty kill as well. Her strong work ethic makes her a great teammate and a positive influence on the team dynamic.”
The Tigers open their 2024-25 season at home on October 4 when they host the UNB REDS.
