Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Casey Beisel for the 2024-25 season.
A forward, Beisel played for the Waterloo Ravens in the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association U22 Elite League where she scored seven goals and seven assists in 41 games. In 2023, Beisel and her Ravens teammates took home a silver medal in the USA Canada Cup at the Detroit edition of the series.
In the 2022-23 school season, Beisel and her St. David Catholic Secondary School teammates were Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) A/AA girls hockey champions.
“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to play for the Tigers and I am looking forward to spending the next four years at Dalhousie,” says Beisel.
A multi-year member of the honour roll and the winner of the 2022-23 Senior Academic Award, the Kincardine, Ontario native will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie.
“Casey is a versatile forward,” says House. “We excited to have Casey onboard and are looking forward to having her add depth to our lineup.”
The Tigers open their 2024-25 campaign at home on October 4, when they host the UNB REDS.
