Tigers shutout Aigles Bleues 4-0

The Dalhousie University Tigers scored 3 times in the first period on the way to a 4-0 victory over the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues on Saturday at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in AUS regular season action. 

The Tigers opened the scoring less than a mintue into the game when Olivia Eustace foudn the back of the net to make it 1-0. Six minutes later Anika Curri scored for the Tigers on the power play. Gabrielle Noordijk added her second assist of the game on Curri's goal. Halfway through the period Brooklyn Paisley scored off a Alix Yallowega feed. 

The Aigles Bleues directed 37 shots at goaltender Tigers Grace Beer but were unable to beat her. Emma Bishop scored into an empty net late in the third period for her team's 4th goal. Moncton's Audrey Berthiaume made 24 saves in the game.  

 

Erica Plourde (Moncton) and Grace Beer (Dalhousie) were the players of the game.

The Tigers return to the ice on Saturday when they host UNB. Puck drop is set for 7pm.

Moncton will host the Saint Mary's University Huskies on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
