Andrew is a former three-time AUS champion and record holder in the 60m hurdles for Saint Marys University. In the 1990's he won multiple Nova Scotia and Atlantic Champion titles in the sprints and hurdles and trained with the Canadian Bobsleigh program in 1995-96. Currently in his 28th year of coaching, Andrew is a NCCP Level 3 Sport Competition trained coach in sprints and hurdles in addition to being a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. He was inducted into the Saint Mary’s Sport Hall of Fame in 2008.
