Tigers add Palamarek for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers track and field head coach Rich Lehman is pleased to announce the commitment of Jeremy Palamarek for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Palamarek is a member of the Athletics Nova Scotia High Performance Team which he joined in September 2024. He was team captain for Team NS/NU at the 2024 Legion National Championships where he placed fifth in shot put and ninth in discus. Earlier last summer he was the Atlantic champion in shot put and discus in the 16-17 age group.
Representing Dr. JH Gillis Regional High School, Palamarek was the provincial champion in shot put and finished third in discus at the School Sport Nova Scotia championship in the 2023-24 year. He was named the school’s most valuable track athlete that year.
“I am excited to compete for the Tigers and to start my degree at Dalhousie,” says Palamarek. “I feel that Dal has the right mix of sports and school for me. I was looking for somewhere to continue throwing that also had a great engineering program.”
Palamarek will be studying engineering at Dalhousie University.
“Jeremy is a talented athlete that has shown tremendous potential in a short time, only picking up a shot put for the first time in 2024,” says throws coach Kirk Jessome. “We are thrilled to call Jeremy a Tiger next season and add to a very talented group of throwers.”
