Heubach sets new Dal record at nationals

Thrower Temi Toba Oluboka earned a fourth place finish in the women's weight throw to kick things off for the Tigers at the 2023 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships hosted by the University of Saskatchewan. She threw a personal-best distance of 16.89m in the event. Fellow Tigers Chelsea MacIsaac placed 11th with a throw of 14.43m.

In the women's pentathlon, Lorena Heubach placed first in the shot put, fourth in the high jump and long jump, eighth in the hurdles, and scratched the 800m.

Catherine Kennedy was seventh in the women's 600m qualifiers, posting a time of 1:33.56, narrowly missing the cut off to move on to the final. On the men's side, Zach James ran a 1:20.73 to earn a ninth-place ranking, while Dylan Popejoy posted a time of 1:21.77. Neither would advance to the final.
