Sprinters off to flying start at AUS championships

The Tigers are off to a great start at the 2022 Subway AUS Track and Field Championships, hosted by l'Universite to Moncton.

Sprinters Sofia Stewart and Dan Lord led the way for the Tigers, both winning gold in their 300m events and as members of their respective 4x200m relay teams. Lorena Heubach took top honours in the women's pentathlon after taking first place in four of the five events. 

Amelia Reid, Hudson Grimshaw-Surette, William Cox and Peter Collier all won gold in their respective events, as did the men's and women's 4x200m relay teams.

The men's team took top honours in five of the 10 events on day one and had 10 total medals to lead the meet with 71.5 points. The women's team also had a successful first day, winning four of the 10 finals and posted a total of 13 medal-winninig performances and are leading the meet with 98 points.
