Tigers in the hunt on day 2 of swimming
Emma Carrier Clarke earned two more medals on day two of the AUS swimming championship.
The women's swim team closed the gap on first place, while the men's team extended their lead on day two of the AUS swimming championship.
Emma Carrier Clarke opened the evening session the same way she did on Day one, winning the 50m freestyle event. UNB's Hannah MacLeod finished second followed by Acadia's Cassidy Karrel.
In the men's event, Memorial's Chris Weeks won the race followed by Dalhousie's Logan Sparkes and UNB's Blake Kingston.
Acadia's Ella Collins and Chloe Popp went 1-2 in the women's 200m breaststroke. Kate Tuck finished third.
Kingston won the men's event followed by Tigers Connor Maloney and Jake Gysel.
Carrier Clarke won her second gold medal of the night in the women's 400m freestyle. Fellow Tigers Ella Dobson touched second followed by Memorial's Natalie Smart in third.
Acadia's David Harvie won the men's 400m freestyle followed by Logan and Morgan Sparkes.
Sophie Rooney of Acadia touched the wall first in the 100m backstroke with UNB's Leah Smal just hundredths of a second behind her. Dalhousie's Emilie Schofield touched in third place.
Dalhousie's Cole Mitchell won the men's 100m backstroke followed closely behind by UNB's Maxime Kenny. Noah Thomas of Dal touched third.
It was a Tigers sweep of the women's 200m IM with Schofield touching first, followed by Tuck and Mikhaela Johnson.
Tiger Timothy McCowan win the men's 200m IM. Acadia's Nate Thompson touched in second place, followed by Dalhousie's Quinn Nolan in third place.
Memorial's Chris Weeks won the 50m butterfly race followed by Marcus Vaillancourt of Acadia and Dalhousie's Will Myrer.
The Dalhousie relay team of Carrier Clarke, Tuck, Schofield and Mia Stein-Blumberg won the 4x200m freestyle relay. The Acadia team finished second followed by Memorial in third.
Tigers Thomas, Logan Sparkes, Hasan Hosny and Morgan Sparkes won the men's 4x200m relay. Acadia took silver and Memorial in third.
