Tigers capture second meet this season
The Dalhousie Tigers finished with a combined 672 points to win the ninth annual Jack Scholz Memorial Swim Meet in Wolfville in both women’s and men’s fields.
WOLFVILLE, N.S. – The Dalhousie Tigers finished with a combined 672 points to win the ninth annual Jack Scholz Memorial Swim Meet in Wolfville in both women's and men's fields.
The Tigers won 12 of the 18 Day 2 events, while the host Acadia Axemen and Axewomen captured the remaining six events. Acadia finished second in both women's and men's competition.
Dalhousie's Gavin Dyke and Lise Cinq-Mars added two gold medal wins to their first day today with wins in the 200m freestyle & 1500m freestyle and 200m freestyle & 100m butterfly, respectively.
Tiger Tyler Immel-Herron captured two wins in his Day 2 events including 50m and 200m backstroke. Rookie Tiger, Isabel Sarty finished first in her third event of the weekend, this time the 200m backstroke.
Acadia's Adam Deutsch finished the weekend with gold medal events including the 100m and 200m breaststrokes.
In the day 2 relays, the Tigers edged Acadia in both the women's and men's 200m freestyle relays.
