The Dalhousie Tigers fell to the Montreal Carabins 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-17) in game two of the home-and-home series this weekend.

A quiet game for the Tigers saw them struggle to get their big hitters going. No Tiger hit double-digit kills, with Michael Donovan (London, ON) coming the closest with 8. Although exchanging points early in the first set, a run of errors from the Tigers gave Montreal an extended lead. A late run of kills by first-year Dillan Morphet (Alliston, ON) saw the Tigers claw back some points but it was too late. Montreal won the first set 25-14.

Errors continued to plague both teams in the second set, with neither team able to string together a serious run of points. Finally, Montreal was able to string back-to-back points together with Alexandre St-Denis going to the service line six times in a row. The Carabins took the second set 25-21.

The third set saw rookie Patrick Beresford (Mount Pearl, NL) get his first RSEQ action and the first kill for the outside hitter came early in the set. More Tigers were finding success early in the set with Donovan and Ted Graveson (Burnaby, BC) hitting the floor. The Carabins Julien Boileau then went on a three-kill run to push Montreal to a six-point lead. The Tigers tried to fight back but late attack errors from Dalhousie gave Montreal a 25-17 set win and win the game 3-0.

The Tigers return home on November 11 at 8pm when they host Sherbrooke at Dalplex.
