Kirwin and MacDougall score in loss to REDS
On Friday, the Dalhousie Tigers fell to the UNB REDS with a final score of 10-2 in Fredericton, NB.
The first period of the game began with Dalhousie's Barret Kirwin scoring the opening goal at 00:47, assisted by Colin Parker. The REDS responded swiftly, equalizing with a goal by Oliver Peer at 02:24. They then took advantage of a power play, with Benjamin Corbeil scoring at 04:12 to take the lead. The REDS continued their scoring streak with goals from Sean McGurn at 07:55, Cody Morgan at 16:36, and Peter Reynolds at 19:00, ending the period with a 5-1 lead over Dalhousie.
The second period began with the REDS winning the initial two faceoffs and maintaining control early on. At 6:38, Colton Kammerer scored for them, assisted by Peter Reynolds and Emmett Sproule, giving them a 6-1 lead. The REDS' Jax Dubois extended the lead with a goal at 14:49, despite a penalty against Sam McGinley that offered Dalhousie a power play opportunity. Barret Kirwin stood out for Dalhousie with one goal and 12 faceoff wins, making him a key player in offensive and faceoff situations.
