The Moncton Aigles Bleus welcomed the Dalhousie Tigers on Saturday night for a clash at the Jean-Louis Lévesque Arena.

It was the Aigles Bleus getting things going early and getting on the powerplay for the first time just two minutes in. Although the penalty was killed off, it was Moncton out to the early lead a few minutes later with a goal from Jeremie Jacob (Dieppe, NB), assisted by Denis Toner (Saint-Andre, NB) and Samuel Guilbault (Varennes, QC) to make it 1-0 Moncton. After much back and forth between the teams, it remained a one goal game after 20 minutes of play.

Early in the second period the Aigles Bleus picked up where they left off with a goal from Guilbault, assisted by Toner and Jacob, to make it 2-0 Moncton just two minutes in. From there on the Tigers would find their game. A goal from Evan McKinnon (Dartmouth, NS), assisted by Jarret Baker (Black Rock, NS) cut the lead in half to 2-1. Just a few minutes later it was Campbell Pickard (Halifax, NS) scoring to make it a tie game at 2-2 halfway through the period. As the second was coming to a close, the Tigers would strike once more to take their first lead of the game. A goal from Baker with under two minutes left made it 3-2 Dalhousie headed to the third period.

Moncton would go to the power play just five minutes into the final frame giving them an opportunity to tie the game. Dalhousie goalie Alexander McDonald (Truro, NS) and his Tigers teammates were able to hold strong and keep the game at 3-2. The game was nearing the end when the Tigers headed back to the kill, giving Moncton one more opportunity. With the empty net and two minutes left, the Dalhousie defenders and McDonald once again were able to hold on to the lead as Moncton attacked with six skaters against the Tigers four and took home the 3-2 win.
