UNB beat Dalhousie 10-1 in Friday night men's hockey action at the Halifax Forum.

The REDS offence exploded in the first period as Connor Hall (Kitchener, ON) notched his first and second goal of the season in the span of six minutes. UNB's big period didn't end there, as Brady Gilmour (Grafton, ON), Simon Pinard (Drummondville, QC), Jason Willms (Kitchener, ON), and Cody Morgan (Gilford, ON) all found the back of the net.

Dalhousie goaltender Alexander MacDonald came into the game to start the second period and stood tall through two early UNB power plays. The REDS managed to get past MacDonald though, as Benjamin Corbeil (Granby, QC), who assisted one of Hall's goals in the first, opened the scoring in the second. Hall managed to complete the hat trick in the second period as the REDS offensive machine kept churning.

A power play late in the period finally got Dalhousie on the board, when Campbell Pickard (Halifax, NS) snuck one past REDS goalie. UNB answered back with a goal from Cole MacKay (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) to take a 9-1 lead into the intermission.

Tempers flared in the third period as both the Reds and Tigers had players receive game misconducts. MacKay tacked on a second goal to end up giving UNB a 10-1 victory.

Hall's three goal night earned him Subway player of the game honours.

The REDS are now tied for second place in the conference as their third win in a row moves them to 4-2 on the season. Dalhousie moves to 1-5 with the loss.

Both teams will now gear up for their next game tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. as the Tigers host Université de Moncton, and UNB takes on StFX in Antigonish.
