Crossley scores in 4-1 loss to Moncton

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (23-6-15-1-1=14pts, 7th position) ended a seven-game loosing streak with a 4-1 win over the Dalhousie University Tigers (22-11-10-1-0=23pts, 3rd position) on Friday in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action in front of more than 500 spectators. 

Mika Cyr (Nathaël Roy, Vincent Deslauriers) scored first at 3:37 of the first period. Remy Anglehart (Olivier-Luc Haché, Yann-Félix Lapointe) at 1:45 and Olivier-Luc Haché (Lapointe, Anglehart) at 11:45 brought the count to 3-0 in the middle period. Brett Crossley (Dartmouth, NS) reinvigorated the Tigers with a goal midway through the third to close the gap to two goals. Nathaël Roy (Vincent Deslauriers, Mika Cyr) at 15:37 sealed the outcome of the match for Moncton. Goaltender Émile Samson, the Subway player of the game, registered the win for the Blue and Gold with 31 (4-8-19) shots against 30 (10-14-6) for Reilly Pickard, for the visitors. Moncton was 0 in 3 on man advantage and Dalhousie, 0 in 6.  

The Aigles Bleus mostly dominated the game in the first and second periods and the Tigers came out strong in the third. But they faced a well-prepared goalie. They got four power plays and targeted the goalkeeper with many shots, and he did not let go.  

The Tigers head to UNB Saturday night for their final game of the regular season.
