Tigers add O'Neil for 2020-21 season

Dalhousie Tigers men’s hockey head coach Chris Donnelly is pleased to announce the commitment of Logan O’Neil for the 2020-21 season.

Hailing from Mira, Nova Scotia, O’Neil started his junior hockey career with the Cape Breton Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) before joining the South Shore Lumberjacks of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MJAHL). In the 2019-20 season, the forward had a career-high 71 points in 51 games with the Lumberjacks. He holds the franchise record for most career points with 205 points in 180 games and career assists with 125.

“I am very excited to be joining the Tigers,” says O’Neil. Dalhousie has been a place I have always looked at to continue my hockey career as well as to continue my studies. I am excited to be a part of an exciting program.”

O’Neil will be working towards a Bachelor of Commerce while attending Dalhousie.

“Logan had a very good offensive season in the Maritime Junior League with the South Shore Lumberjacks,” says Donnelly. “We look forward to having him join our program and add his skill level to our team.”

O’Neil will be joining former Canada Winter Games, Team Nova Scotia teammates Derek Gentile, Christian Huntley and Shaun Miller on the Tigers roster.
