MONCTON – Vincent Deslauriers scored two goals to lead Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (4-3-2=10pts, 5th position) to a 6-1 win over Dalhousie University Tigers (1-8-0=2pts, 7th position), on Saturday at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in an Atlantic University Sport men's hockey game in front of over 520 spectators.
Robbie Graham (pp), Alexandre Jacob, Marc-Anthony Therrien and Maxime St-Cyr were able to score the other Blue and Gold team goals. It was Moncton's 4th win of the season. Deslauriers also took 7 shots on goal and was +3 in the game. Jackson Playfair, on the power play in the second and Jonathan Cyr, in the third, replied for the visitors. Moncton led 2-0 after 20 minutes and 4-1, following 40 minutes. Étienne Montpetit made 23 saves for the win compared to 28 for Reilly Pickard, in the loss. Dalhousie was 1 for 5 on the power play and Moncton, 1 for 3.
Moncton will host for a second time this season the University of New Brunswick Reds, on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.
