(Halifax, NS) On Saturday, November 21st, the Dalhousie Tigers and the UNB Varsity Reds hit the ice at the Halifax Forum to play in their second games of the weekend. The Varsity Reds took a 5-1 win over the Tigers.

The first period held many opportunities for the Varsity Reds who had eleven shots on net compared to Dalhousie's four. Even with so many chances for UNB, they couldn't get the puck past Dalhousie's goalie, Corbin Boes (Saskatoon, SK). The first period finished with no goals at a score of 0-0.

UNB came out strong in the second period and started off the scoring for the game. Jordan Murray (Riverview, NB) and Dylan Willick (Kamloops, BC) got the puck to Cameron Brace (Markham, ON) for a one on one with Boes. Brace placed the puck just right and made the goal.

At 4:51, the Varsity Reds scored a second goal from Rob Mignardi (Richmond Hill, ON). UNB was working the puck around Dalhousie's net, but it was Francis Beauvillier (St. Hyacinthe, QC) and Philippe Halley (Quebec City, QC) that made the assist for Mignardi's goal.

With five minutes left in the period, the Varsity Reds secured their lead with a third goal made by Matt Petgrave (Brampton, ON). Stephen Anderson (Morell, PE) and Taylor MacDougall (New Maryland, NB) made the assist from the chaos surrounding Dalhousie's net. The second period ended with UNB at a 3-0 lead over Dalhousie.

The third period started much like the second. UNB scored an early goal three minutes in from Cameron Brace - his second goal of the game. Randy Gazzola (Thorold, ON) and Taylor Carroll (Strathroy, ON) assisted for the Varsity Reds' fourth goal of the game. With just over ten minutes left in the game, the Varsity Reds tucked away a fifth goal with MacDougall for the finish

Dalhousie put their team on the score board with a goal by Daniel Walsh (Gloucester, ON) on the power play. JP Harvey (Cole Harbour, NS) and Fabian Walsh (Gloucester, ON) assisted for the Tigers' goal. Dalhousie's Corbin Boes was put to the test and had 37 saves throughout the course of the game. The period finished at a score of 5-1 for UNB over Dalhousie.

The final score of the game was a 5-1 win for the Varsity Reds over the Tigers. Subway player of the game was Cameron Brace, with two goals throughout the game.
