Husbands-Browne leads Tigers to win over REDS
Lydell Husbands-Browne recorded a double-double, leading the Tigers to a 72-53 win over the UNB REDS.

(FREDERICTON, NB) The Dalhousie Tigers scored a 72-53 win over the UNB REDS Saturday night in Atlantic University Sport men's basketball action at UNB's Richard J. Currie Center.
Caleb Stewart (Stevensville, ON) led the Tigers with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Eden Otshudi (Hamilton, ON) led all scorers with 19 for the REDS. He added four assists.
The Tigers flexed their muscle early on, building a 16-8 lead on route to a 24-10 advantage after ten minutes.
In the second half, Dal extended their lead and took a 46-26 lead to the half-time break.
The REDS won the third quarter, outscoring the Tigers 20-17, but couldn't make a significant dent in the Dal lead.
Neither team scored in double-digits in the final quarter, with Dal limiting the REDS to just seven fourth quarter points.
Otshudi was the only RED to score more than nine points in the game.
Matthias Muscroft (Sussex, NB) came off the UNB bench to drop eight points while Anthony Sears (Antigonish, NS), also off the bench, grabbed eight rebounds.
Lydell Husbands-Browne (Halifax, NS) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers. Gabe Damey (Ypsilanti, MI) added 15 points.
The win is the first of the season for the Tigers, now 1-and-2.
The REDS fall to 0-and-3.
UNB and Dal will square off again Sunday in the second game of their weekend series.
Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00pm.
