Dalhousie Tigers men’s basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Dimitri Georgoulias for the 2024-25 season.
Georgoulias played for the Kiski School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this past season in the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA). The 6’8 winger plays for the Collective Elite in the AAU in the summer months.
“I am excited to be a part of the Tigers family and helping the team win a U SPORTS title,” says Georgoulias.
The Mississauga, Ontario native is a multi-year member of the honour roll and will be studying science at Dalhousie.
“The addition of Dimitri to the Tigers 2024-25 roster provides another versatile player who can play multiple positions,” says Plato. “Dimitri is equally adept at playing the shooting guard, small forward and even the power forward position. His versatility and size will allow us to take advantage of his dynamic transition game. With his size, we can post him up against smaller guards, and against any zone. A threat outside the arc he is also an excellent passer who can facilitate through the high post.”
The Tigers open their 2024-25 campaign on the road at STFX on October 30.
