(St. John's, NL) After an incredible offensive showing by the Dalhousie Tigers the previous game, Memorial kept a more consistent pace with the opposition. Jason Thompson set the tone early, scoring the first four points for the Sea-Hawks. Against the improved efforts of Memorial, Dalhousie struggled from the field in the first half shooting just over 40%.

Despite the poor shooting, Dalhousie held the lead through the first two quarters, 20-12 after the first, and 45-36 at the half. Success has been found in their excellent rebounding as a team. Keevan Veinot  led the Tigers at the half with 11 points and 4 rebounds on 4/8 shooting.

Memorial has once again been buoyed by the efforts of Nathan Barker, providing 11 points on 4/6 shooting. The Sea-Hawks have had success getting to the line and converting, shooting 87% from the line at the half.

The Sea-Hawks once again faced an aggressive offense from the Tigers, starting hot coming out of half time. Sven Stammberger had 14 points alone in the third from 4/9 shooting. Stammberger finished the game with a double-double, 24 points and 10 rebounds on 8/16 shooting; Stammberger also earned Subway Player-of-the-Game commendations. Veinot and Alex Carson each had 13 points for the Tigers.

Nathan Barker continued his contributions in the second half, finishing the game with 19 points. Despite this effort, the Sea-Hawks had struggles converting from the field. Dalhousie led the final two quarters, 75-51 after the third, and 101-66 final score.

Memorial drops to 0-4 this season after an unfortunate weekend; Dalhousie maintains their undefeated record at 4-0 after this weekend. Memorial will look to get on track next weekend when they welcome the StFX X-Men into town.
