Marauders win 81-61 vs. Tigers

Dalhousie travelled to McMaster in Hamilton, ON for some pre-season action on Saturday, October 10, but fell to the Marauders at a final score of 81-61 after McMaster took an early lead which they never conceded.

The first period held some action, but the game really picked up in the second quarter after McMaster's Connor Gilmore (Etobicoke, ON) hit 3 treys in a row. This brought the score to 44-19 in favour of the Marauders by the end of the second period, giving McMaster an impressive lead.

By the end of the third quarter, the score came to a 70-37 lead for McMaster. Trevon McNeil (Oakville, ON) had a strong period with three consecutive 3 pointers which helped the Marauders maintain their solid lead.

In the final period, the Tigers fought hard and managed to bring the score to a 20 point difference which is how the game ended, at a score of 81-61 for McMaster over Dalhousie.

Connor Gilmore, from McMaster, held the most points for the game and for the Marauders at 17. Dalhousie's Cedric Sanogo (Montreal, QC) held the lead amongst the Tigers at 14 points.

McMaster's next game will be at home on Thursday, October 15 against the Cape Breton Capers. Dalhousie will play again on Friday, October 16 in an exhibition game in Antigonish, NS against StFX.
