Curlers pick up wins on day 2 of AUS championship
The men's team moves to 2-1 while the women's team falls to 1-1.

HALIFAX, NS — The second day of the 2025 Atlantic University Sport Curling Championships saw 10 matches played over draws #2 and #3 on Friday at the at the historic Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax, NS.
On the Men's side, no teams are undefeated through three games each. Four teams have 2-1 records heading into Day #3 – the defending champion Dalhousie Tigers, Memorial Sea-Hawks, UNB REDS and UPEI Panthers. The Saint Mary's Huskies sport a 1-2 record, while the STFX X-Men (0-3) round out the pool.
On the Women's side, Friday's results saw the STFX X-Women improve to 3-0, while the defending champion UNB REDS improved to 2-0. The Dalhousie Tigers rank third with a 1-1 record, while the Mount Allison Mounties (0-3) and Saint Mary's Huskies (0-2) are still looking for their first win of the tournament.

Women's
MTA vs. DAL
Final Score: 7-1 DAL (7 Ends)
The Dalhousie Tigers (1-0) opened their tournament with a convincing 7-1 win over the Mount Allison Mounties (0-2). The Tigers opened up 5-0 lead through four ends, scoring three points in the fourth. Mount Allison stole a point in the fifth end for their lone score of the match, but Dalhousie added two more before the Mounties conceded after the seventh to give the Tigers a 7-1 victory.
Men's
DAL vs. MUN
Final Score: 7-2 DAL (6 Ends)
The 2024 defending champion Dalhousie Tigers (1-1) bounced back with their first win of the tournament with a 7-2 win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks (1-1). Dalhousie took control early, opening up a 5-0 lead through four ends. Memorial cut into the lead by stealing two points in the fifth, but the Tigers responded by scoring two points in the sixth, forcing the Sea-Hawks to concede after six ends.

Women's
DAL vs. STFX
Final Score: 9-2 STFX (7 Ends)
The STFX X-Women (3-0) remain undefeated with a 9-2 win over the Dalhousie Tigers (1-1). After a scoreless first end, the X-Women scored two points in the second end and three in the third. Dalhousie scored a single point in the fourth and fifth ends to cut the lead to 5-2, but STFX scored four more points, with Dalhousie conceding after seven ends, as the X-Women took the match 9-2.
Men's
STFX vs. DAL
Final Score: 7-4 DAL (7 Ends)
The defending champion Dalhousie Tigers improved to 2-1 with a 7-4 win over the STFX X-Men. After a scoreless first end, the X-Men scored a single point in the second, but the Tigers roared back with six points in the third. The X-Men were able to score three more points to the Tigers one, but it wasn't enough to comeback as STFX conceded the 7-4 final.
