The women's volleyball team moves up a spot to 2nd in the final rankings of the season.

TORONTO (U SPORTS) – The top teams in the nation all held serve over the weekend for the final national rankings of the 2019-20 season.

The UNB Reds (men’s hockey), Saint Mary’s Huskies (women’s hockey) and Trinity Western Spartans (men’s and women’s volleyball) all remain at No. 1, as the conference playoffs are set to conclude this weekend. Seedings for all four U SPORTS Championships will be announced on Sunday.

The 2020 U SPORTS Final 8 Basketball Championships begin this week, with the Saskatchewan Huskies women and Carleton Ravens men named tournament favourites ahead of tip-off on Thursday and Friday in the nation’s capital. The Final 8 Basketball Championships are hosted jointly for the first time by the Ravens, Ottawa Gee-Gees, and the Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group, while the Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas are set to host the 2020 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships, where the No. 1 Guelph Gryphons are the favourites to sweep the men’s and women’s titles.
