    (Halifax, NS) – In their first matchup of the season, the Dalhousie Tigers took on the UNB Varsity Reds in a key four-point game in front of a near capacity crowd at the Dalplex. The Tigers inside game opened up a third quarter run that proved to be too much for UNB to come back from, and the Tigers took the 85-68 victory.

    (Halifax, NS) – Completing the two game mini-series of the weekend, the Dalhousie Tigers once again took on the Memorial Sea-Hawks at the Dalplex. In a high-scoring game that couldn’t be solved through regulation, the Tigers came out on top, doubling up Memorial in the overtime frame and taking the 102-94 win.

    (Halifax, NS) – in the first day of a back to back matchup, the Dalhousie Tigers hosted the Memorial Sea-Hawks at the Dalplex. After a tightly contested first half, the Tigers were able to gain an edge in the third quarter an hang on to earn the 88-82 win.

    (Halifax, NS) – Getting day three of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament underway in the game for 7th place were the MSVU Mystics and Acadia Axemen. A big run made by the Axemen in the second quarter pushed them into a commanding lead, and they never looked back, taking this one 90-65.

    (Halifax, NS) – In the consolation final of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament, the UPEI Panthers were taking on the Concordia Stingers. After a slow start from both sides, rebounding on the offensive end proved to be the difference maker for the Stingers as they earned the 56-53 victory.
  • Huskies finish third with 76-64 win over Timberwolves

    (Halifax, NS) – In the game for third place at the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament, the Saint Mary’s Huskies squared off against the UNBC Timberwolves. After the game being tied up at half, a big third quarter run pushed the Huskies ahead, and they held on to take the 76-64 victory.
  • Tigers win Shoveller championship 73-65 over X-Men

    (Halifax, NS) – The championship game of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament showcased the StFX X-Men taking on the host Dalhousie Tigers. After getting outscored in the first three quarters, the Tigers rallied with a 23-6 point effort in the fourth to earn the 73-65 comeback win in a fantastic game.

    (Halifax, NS) – In the first game of day two of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament the Acadia Axemen took on the Concordia Stingers at the Dalplex. The Stingers got out to an early lead in the first quarter and didn’t look back as they controlled this one and took the 85-69 victory.

    (Halifax, NS) – Day two of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament saw the MSVU Mystics facing off against the UPEI Panthers. After getting down early, the Panthers fought back with a huge third quarter to take the lead and come away with the 77-70 win.

    (Halifax, NS) – In the first semi-final matchup of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament the StFX X-Men squared off against the Saint Mary’s Huskies. In a physical game full of runs the X-Men were able to survive a late scare and earn the 88-82 win.

    (Halifax, NS) – In the second semi-final matchup of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament, the host Dalhousie Tigers were taking on the UNBC Timberwolves. After finishing the first three quarters with neither team able to gain an edge, the Tigers put together a run in the fourth quarter and held on to take the 91-86 victory.
  • Huskies take 82-75 overtime win over Stingers

    (Halifax, NS) - In the first matchup of the 26th annual Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament, the Saint Mary’s Huskies faced off against the Concordia Stingers at the Dalplex. It took extra time to do it, but the Huskies were able to get the important first victory by a score of 82-75.

    (Halifax, NS) – In game two of the Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament, the Acadia Axemen took on the StFX X-Men. It took overtime to solve this one, but StFX were able to take the win 90-87.

    (Halifax, NS) – Game three of the 26th annual Shoveller Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament saw the UPEI Panthers take on the UNBC Timberwolves. Superior outside shooting got it done for UNBC as they took the win 76-67.
