2022-23 Women's Curling Season Recap

The women’s curling team went 3-2 in round robin play at the AUS championships and advanced to the semifinal round to face the Saint Mary’s Huskies. The Tigers made quick work of the Huskies, winning 7-2 in six ends to advance to the championship final. They faced the UPEI Panthers in the final and won 5-4 to earn their fourth-consecutive AUS championship title.

At the U SPORTS championships hosted by Laurentian, the Tigers finished round robin play with a record of 4-3 with wins over McMaster, TMU, Alberta and UPEI.

Seeded in fourth, they faced the host Laurentian Voyageurs in the semifinal round, defeating them 10-6 to advance to the championship where they matched up against the Alberta Pandas. The teams traded points early on, but the Pandas stole a point in the 10th end to win gold 5-4, leaving the Tigers with silver.

Grace McCusker was named a first team All-Canadian while skip Marin Callaghan was named to the second team. Lyndsey Burgess brought home the fair play award.
