Tigers top Moncton 3-1 on Friday

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues won the first set and nearly upset the visitors in the second, but in the end it was the Dalhousie University Tigers that were 3-1 winners in an Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball game Friday evening at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium. 

Moncton lost 25-23, 30-32, 15-25 and 16-25. Pascale Doiron recorded 15 kills for Moncton and 16 digs while Emily Robichaud had 21 digs. Julie Moore (Halifax, NS) and Sarah Dawe (Mont Pearl, NL) registered 14 and 13 kills respectively for Dalhousie.

Both teams play again Saturday at 4p.m. at the same place. Players who have played four or five seasons with the Aigles will be honored on Saturday prior to the first whistle. It will be the last home game of the season for Moncton. 

Subway player of the game, Catherine Callaghan (Halifx, NS), had 26 digs.
