Exciting times at the CIS Women's National Team selection camp. All 30 invited players from around the country showed up fit and fired up to take a shot at representing Canada this summer in Gwuangju, South Korea (July 2-11) at the 28th summer Universiade .

Head Coach, Olivier Trudel, noted that "the first two days of camp have been at a very high level of intensity and play and I am thrilled that the thirty players who arrived all came ready to put their best effort on the court. All we asked of them was to make our job as difficult as possible to select a 12 player roster and so far, after five sessions and 72 hours of camp, I can honestly tell you that we have an incredibly tough task ahead of us, and that is great news!"

Training and inter-squad scrimmages will continue through Saturday, June 6; and then the official roster of 12 players, and as many as three alternates, will be selected for three more weeks of training and preparation en route to the 2015 FISU Games.
