(Halifax, NS) On Saturday night the Dalhousie Tigers took down the University of Montreal Carabins 3-1 (26-24, 26-24, 23-25, 25-10) at the Dalplex. The Tigers have won two straight now after dropping their first two games of the weekend.

The Tigers were lucky to come away with a 26-24 first set win after watching an eight-point lead vanish. Dalhousie started the match off with a 9-1 lead but allowed Montreal to creep back into the game.

The Carabins took their first lead of the match at 20-19 after a nice tip by Vicky Savard.

Dalhousie managed to close the set out as Anna Dunn-Suen notched the final two point of the set off a perfectly place tipped and a hard hit that went off the Montreal block.

In the second set it was the Tigers who came from behind, taking the lead at 24-23 after trailing for the majority of the frame. Dalhousie couldn't capitalize on their first set point but Anna Dunn-Suen came up with a big net play to close out the second set 26-24.

The Tigers took a 2-0 set lead in the third set.

Montreal was once again in charge of the third set and was able to close it out this time with a 25-23 victory. The Tigers managed to make things interesting grabbing the lead at 23-22 after a huge kill by Jessica Josenhans but could not finish the match off.

Dalhousie put on their most dominant performance of the weekend with a 25-10 fourth set win over the Carabins. The Tigers started the set on 9-0 run and never looked back from there.

Once again it was Anna Dunn-Suen proving to be Dalhousie best offensive weapon with 16 kills while Marie-Alex Belanger led the Carabins with 12 kills.

Dalhousie now 2-2 will finish off the AUS-RSEQ Interlock event tomorrow afternoon with a 3pm game against UQAM. Montreal takes on Acadia at 10am tomorrow morning.
