Antigonish, NS – The Dalhousie Tigers and STFX X-Women played to a scoreless draw Friday evening at STFX Stadium in AUS action.

In the scoreless opening half neither goalkeeper was strongly challenged in the opening 45 minutes.

The second half continued much in the same manner as the first. The X-Women were getting balls through the midfield and into Tigers territory on several occasions, but the Dalhousie backline held strong.

Lauren Reid (Kanata, ON) found the ball on her feet in the 77th minute off a deflected ball and delivered a low shot just wide of the Tigers net in a solid scoring chance for X.

Just minutes later Alyson Bodner (Edmonton, AB) had a high shot just over the X-Women net as keeper Jordyn Pratt (Calgary, AB) wasn't tested often in the STFX goal.

The clean sheet held up for Pratt, who had four saves in the game. Tigers keeper Annabel Gravely (Toronto, ON) had six saves as she too registered a shutout game. This is Gravely's fifth shutout in five starts.

There wasn't many scoring chances off corner kicks for either squad as the Tigers had two in the game and the X-Women didn't have any.

The player of the game for Dalhousie was midfielder Hannah Firstbrook (Nepean, ON) who had a strong performance at centre back.

Veteran X-Women midfielder Talia Morin (Ottawa, ON) was the Subway player of the game, bringing forth another strong game for the X-Women who are now 6-3-1 on the season.

The Tigers (7-0-3) continue their weekend with a road trip to Sydney tomorrow for a 5:00 pm game against the first place Cape Breton Capers.

The X-Women will be back in action on Thursday, October 27th when they welcome the Aigles Bleues de Moncton to STFX Stadium for a 5:00 pm game. This was rescheduled from the cancelled game due to the hurricane.
