Chiasson commits to Tigers for 2020-21 season

Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Megan Chiasson for the 2020-21 season.

Chiasson is a midfielder from Lower Sackville, N.S. She plays her club soccer with Suburban FC and has been to the national championship tournament four times with the club. A member of Team Nova Scotia at the 2017 Canada Games, she helped them to a third-place finish at the event.

“I am beyond excited to become a Tiger and to be able to play for Cindy again,” says Chiasson. “I hope to grow with the team both as a player and as a person!”

Chiasson will be working towards a Bachelor of Science while at Dalhousie.

“Megan is a product of the Suburban Football Club, Soccer Nova Scotia provincial and Canada Games programs, and is a former Regional Exceleration Program member,” says Tye. “She is a midfielder who has the ability to read the game on both sides of the ball. She can play multiple positions and leads by example with solid decision-making and communication. She has been able to manage her time through demanding training, work, and school schedules, achieving great results. We are excited to welcome Megan to the Tigers!”

The Tigers were knocked out in the quarter-finals of the 2019 AUS championship.
